Raymond F. Landry

1938 - 2020

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Raymond F. Landry. He died peacefully at his home in St-Zotique, Quebec, on May 25, 2020 in his 82nd year. Proud son of Irene and Royal. Born in Ottawa, Ontario on February 20, 1938.

He was the beloved husband of the late Maureen Puddester and the dear father of Pierre (Christine Genier) and Bryan (Cynthia Kenny). Brother of Collette (Laurent Richard), Ronald (Sharon Tiffin) and Jean-Guy. He will be truly missed by other family and friends who have been touched by his love and generosity throughout his life…

Raymond served in the RCAF and ended his career as Master Corporal, and spent the rest of his professional career as an Avionic Engineer. His son Bryan followed closely in his footsteps.

He overcame many obstacles, and his life is a testament to his ability and strength to overcome adversity, while maintaining his positive attitude, love of life, and sense of humor. Raymond will be missed by his surviving brothers, and son Bryan and those whose lives he has touched over the years. Including Christine and Chantal, the children of Jean-Guy Landry; Jonathan, Alexander, Christopher, Benjamin, the children of Bryan Landry; Taylor and Liam Kenny, the children of Bryan’s spouse Cynthia. His life time RCAF friends: Paul Swan and Harold Olive.

A special thank you to all the professional support Raymond received from the CLSC Vaudreuil-Soulanges team.

According to his wishes, there will be no funeral service.

Contributions in Raymond's memory, for those who wish, may be directed to the RCAF, https://www.rcafassociation.ca/about-us/trust-fund/

Ray had a heart so strong it was one to be admired and a sense of humour that was so contagious he always put a smile on your face. There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains. Love you always and forever

My sincerest condolences to the Landry & Puddester families. I was a friend of both Ray & Maureen, & we all worked at Nordair, so I knew them personally & professionally. Ray was a tireless worker for the employees, & a man of honesty & integrity. He was respected by everyone who came into contact with him. The world is much diminished without him.

Anton (Tony) Borys

Many progressive changes occured throughout the years at Nordair when Ray was the president of IAMAW Lodge 2309. I don't think I would have kept my job while organizing on company time had Ray not intervened. Ray was a decent person with his own family tragedies while guiding the union. Sad news, (coming to me late). Anton (Tony) Borys.
